Tumpak Sewu Bromo Ijen

Tumpak Sewu waterfalls are also called the Thousand Waterfalls… Check for yourself! Depending on the season, the water flow is more or less. The height is about 120 m. Mt. Bromo And Mt. Ijen are two landmarks in East Java. As Mt. Bromo is more accessible, it is the most visited, while the greatest acidic lake in the world can be found at the top of Mount Ijen.

DAY 1 DEPARTURE FROM JOGJA TO BROMO

  • Depart from Jogja by train with SANCAKA at 06.45 am – 09.45 AM/3h. Enjoy the scenic journey as you travel towards Bromo. Arrive in Jombang, to Madakaripura Waterfall. The journey can take around 3 to 4 hours depending on your starting location.
  • You’ll have time to enjoy the waterfall, take photos, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area.
  • After exploring, you’ll head to your hotel in Bromo. Check in to your homestay and rest.

DAY 2 BROMO VOLCANO TOUR – TUMPAKSEWU WATERFALL

  • At 01.00 am wake up early for a Milky Way and sunrise tour of Mount Bromo. You’ll be guided to the best spots to see and photograph the Milky Way. Some of these spots include Penanjakan Hill 1, Kingkong Hill, Love Hill
  • After capturing the Milky Way, you’ll proceed to a viewpoint to watch and photograph the sunrise over Mount Bromo. The sunrise view from Mount Bromo is known for its spectacular beauty. Remember, the visibility of the Milky Way and the sunrise can be affected by the weather and the moon phase
  • Return to your hotel for breakfast.
  • Visit Madakaripura waterfall

TUMPAKSEWU WATERFALL

  • Start your day early after breakfast. Arrive at the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall area. From the parking area, it’s a short walk to the viewpoint where you can see the waterfall from above. Take some time to enjoy the stunning panoramic views. Begin the trek down to the base of the waterfall.
  • Arrive at the base of the waterfall. Spend some time enjoying the waterfall, taking photos, and perhaps even taking a dip in the pool at the waterfall’s base.
  • Start the trek back up to the parking area. Take your time and be careful as the path can be steep.
  • Continue your journey transfer to Banyuwangi.
  • Check in to your hotel and rest.

DAY 4 IJEN VOLCANO TOUR – BALI

  • Wake up early, around midnight, for the Ijen Crater trek. Begin the trek to the Ijen Crater with the assistance of a local guide. The trek usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Reach the summit of Mount Ijen and witness the mesmerizing blue flames caused by sulfuric gases. Enjoy the sunrise and breathtaking views of the turquoise-colored crater lake.
  • Explore the area and learn about the sulfur mining activities.
  • Descend back to the base of Mount Ijen and return to your accommodation.
  • Check out from your accommodation and start the journey back to Bali.
  • Arrive in Bali and transfer to your hotel or preferred drop-off location.

Please note the trek to Ijen Crater can be physically demanding, prepared with appropriate hiking gear, warm clothing, comfortable shoes, and a headlamp.
