DAY 1: Pangkalan Bun – River Cruise – On Boat

Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun airport, you will be picked up by our local staff and take you to Kumai and board the boat. The boat is a traditional wooden boat called “Klotok “about 12 m by 2,5 m with a roof that forms the upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. The guide team includes the boatman, a cook, and an expert guide. In the afternoon observe proboscis monkey (Nasalis Larvatus ) long tail macaque ( Macaca fascicularis ), Silver Langur, and Perhaps wild orangutan along the way up the river. Lunch will be provided on the boat, Dinner and overnight on the boat ( B )

DAY 2: On Boat – Pondok Tanggui – Camp Leakey

After breakfast board the boat upriver and visit Pondok Tanggui see feeding time at 09 am then continue up to Camp Leakey the oldest rehabilitation center for orphaned orangutans which was established in 1971 by Dr.Birute Galdikas and Rod Brindamour. On the way, you may see wild orangutans, gibbons, wild boar, macaques, proboscis monkeys, and some birds. Then walk to the feeding station around 1 km. It is the best time to see orangutan encounter and you may take pictures as much as you like. Your boat slows down to the river and Anker at Crock Lake. Overnight on boat ( L, B, D )

DAY 3: Houseboat - Trekking Full Day

After breakfast, you will have time to explore the jungle and try to find other animals around the forest. Then back to the boat for lunch. Then your boat slows down to explore some kind of Monkey such as Proboscis Monkey., Longtail macaque, and fireflies around the nipa palm at night. Overnight on the boat ( B.L.D )

DAY 4: Houseboat - Airport

After breakfast, boat down to Kumai and drive to Pangkalan bun or airport. Tour end ( B )

Fantastic trip on the volcanoes of Java!

"Landscape Photography Heaven"

As a landscape photographer it was important to find a knowledgeable and adaptable tour operator who could be flexible in understanding our needs to be at a given location for sunrise or sunset. Wisnu and his team helped us plan the perfect trip which led to some superb images being captured. When Mount Ijen was suddenly closed due to volcanic activity Wisnu was able to suggest an equally beautiful location. The flexibility to adjust the itinery was really helpful. Each guide spoke good English and were a pleasure to spend time with. We spent 2 weeks exploring Java, Bali, and even the remote island of Sumba. All perfectly executed. Excellent value for money for a private tour of just 2 people.
