Arrive at Juanda International Airport (SUB), Surabaya. You will be greeted by your private driver who will provide a comfortable transfer to your chosen hotel in Surabaya. Settle in and take some time to relax after your journey.
Afternoon at Leisure,Explore Surabaya independently! Perhaps wander through the vibrant streets, discovering hidden culinary gems. Indulge in a delicious lunch at a local warung (small eatery), savoring authentic East Javanese flavors. Alternatively, relax at your hotel and unwind before embarking on your adventure.

DAY 2: Surabaya's Cultural Tapestry – A Journey to Bromo

Embark on a captivating journey through Surabaya’s rich cultural heritage. Explore the bustling streets of Chinatown, admiring the iconic Red Bridge and the vibrant atmosphere. Step back in time in Kampung Arab (Ampel), a historic district with charming architecture and a significant role in the introduction of Islam to Java. Visit the ancient Sunan Ampel Mosque, a testament to the region’s rich history. Immerse yourself in the aromatic world of Pasar Pabean, a colorful spice market overflowing with exotic scents and flavors.

Embark on a scenic journey towards Mount Bromo, passing through the coastal town of Pasuruan. Enjoy the picturesque mountain roads as you approach the majestic Bromo-Tengger National Park. Check into your hotel in Tosari, nestled at the edge of the caldera, offering stunning views.

DAY 3: Mount Bromo Sunrise

Early Morning (approx. 3:00 AM) Prepare for an unforgettable experience! Your 4WD jeep will take you to Penanjakan viewpoint, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Bromo and its surrounding landscape. Witness the magical sunrise casting its golden rays over this otherworldly scenery.
Bromo Crater Hike,Descend into the caldera, a vast expanse of volcanic sand often shrouded in mist, creating an almost surreal atmosphere. Your jeep will take you to within a short distance of the crater. Embark on a moderate hike (approx. 45-minute walk + 15-minute climb) to the rim of the active Bromo crater. Marvel at the dramatic landscape and capture stunning photos.
Your jeep will transport you back to your hotel for breakfast and some time to relax.Transfer to Kalibaru, Embark on a scenic journey to Kalibaru (approx. 6-7 hours driving time). Enjoy the picturesque landscapes along the route, with stops for lunch and photo opportunities. Check into your hotel upon arrival.

DAY 4: Kalibaru Spice Plantation – Aromatic Delights & Ijen Bound

Immerse yourself in the fragrant world of spices at the Margo Utomo Agro Resort spice plantation (90-minute tour). Learn about the cultivation, harvesting, and processing of coffee, nutmeg, pepper, cinnamon, cocoa, and coconut. Enjoy a tasting of the final products.
After lunch at your hotel, you’ll transfer to Banyuwangi, the gateway to Ijen. Check into your hotel near Kawah Ijen (Licin) or in the coastal town of Ketapang.

Day 5: Ijen Crater Hike – A Surreal Volcanic Landscape & Departure

Early Morning (approx. 02:00 AM) ,Embark on an extraordinary adventure to Kawah Ijen, one of Indonesia’s most spectacular natural wonders. Your 4WD jeep will transport you to the Paltuding base camp.
Begin your hike to the summit (approx. 3 km, moderate difficulty). Witness the otherworldly beauty of the turquoise crater lake, surrounded by sulfur mines. Observe the remarkable skill and strength of the local sulfur miners.Return to the base camp and continue to Banyuwangi for lunch. Transfer to your next destination

Notes: Mount Ijen access is subject to volcanic activity. An alternative program will be provided if necessary. Good physical condition and appropriate footwear are recommended for the Ijen hike.

"Landscape Photography Heaven"

As a landscape photographer it was important to find a knowledgeable and adaptable tour operator who could be flexible in understanding our needs to be at a given location for sunrise or sunset. Wisnu and his team helped us plan the perfect trip which led to some superb images being captured. When Mount Ijen was suddenly closed due to volcanic activity Wisnu was able to suggest an equally beautiful location. The flexibility to adjust the itinery was really helpful. Each guide spoke good English and were a pleasure to spend time with. We spent 2 weeks exploring Java, Bali, and even the remote island of Sumba. All perfectly executed. Excellent value for money for a private tour of just 2 people.
