Day 1: Arrival in Labuan Bajo – Journey to Denge

Welcome to Labuan Bajo, the start of your Flores trip.

First, meet your guide at the airport. Next, you will drive for 8 hours to Denge Village. This village is where your Wae Rebo adventure starts.

On the way, stop in Lembor to see the unique spider-web rice fields. This is a special sight in Flores. Since the drive is long, a picnic lunch will be provided.

When you arrive in Denge, check into your simple lodge. Then, relax and enjoy the peaceful village mood. Tonight, you will stay at the lodge in Denge.

Day 2: Trek to Wae Rebo – The Village Above the Clouds

Following a hearty breakfast, begin your $3- to 4-hour trek$ through the rainforest to the remote village of Wae Rebo, hidden deep in the highlands. As you ascend, the rich biodiversity of Flores will surround you—from orchids to ferns and also the songs of endemic birds. Upon arrival, this UNESCO-recognized village is where you’ll find the Manggarai people and their iconic conical houses (Mbaru Niang), with each house housing multiple generations. While there, learn about ancient traditions, and then join village life, or even explore the drum house, which is used for rituals and clan gatherings. Finally, after a full cultural immersion, trek back to Denge for a well-earned rest.

Therefore, for tonight, accommodation will be in a lodge in Denge.

Day 3: Denge – Return to Labuan Bajo

Following breakfast, journey back to Labuan Bajo. Throughout the drive, enjoy sweeping views of lush hills and vibrant rice terraces near Iteng or Narang Village. Since the ride is long, a lunch box will be provided en route. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and then relax. After settling in, enjoy the sunset over the Flores Sea as you prepare for your Komodo adventure.

Therefore, for tonight, accommodation will be at a hotel in Labuan Bajo.

Day 4: Komodo Adventure – Rinca Island & Kalong Island

Following breakfast, head to the harbor and then board your traditional boat for a voyage to Rinca Island, which is home to the legendary Komodo dragons. While on the island, and accompanied by a local ranger, trek through the dry savannah to spot not only dragons but also wild buffalo, macaques, deer, and finally tropical birds.

Later in the afternoon, sail to Kalong Island, where thousands of flying foxes emerge from the mangroves at sunset—a surreal and unforgettable sight. Afterward, enjoy dinner on board and then spend the night in your private boat cabin under the stars.

In summary, your meals include Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, and your accommodation will be Live on Board.

Day 5: Komodo Island – Pink Beach – Manta Point – Return to Labuan Bajo

To start the day, sail to Komodo Island and trek to spot more Komodo dragons and wildlife in their natural habitat. During the trek, your guide will help you understand the island’s unique ecosystem. Following the trek, head to the famous Pink Beach, where you can snorkel in vibrant coral gardens and relax on the blush-colored sands.

Also, depending on conditions, stop at Manta Point to snorkel with majestic manta rays. After lunch on board, cruise back to Labuan Bajo, and then transfer to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 6: Labuan Bajo – Departure

To conclude your trip, enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, however, you may have time to stop at a local market for last photos of the islands. "Fantastic Experiences on Our Java Bali & Sumba Photography Tour"
