4-Day Bromo, Tumpak Sewu & Ijen Volcano Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Surabaya & Transfer to Mount Bromo

Arrive at Juanda International Airport (SUB), Surabaya. You will be met by your private driver and guide for a comfortable transfer to your hotel near Mount Bromo. The journey will take approximately 6-7 hours, offering scenic views of the East Javan countryside. Enjoy stops for refreshments and photo opportunities along the way. Upon arrival near Mount Bromo, check into your hotel. Take some time to relax and prepare for the early morning Bromo sunrise tour

Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise & Malang City Exploration

Early Morning (approx. 3:00 AM) Your private 4WD jeep will collect you from your hotel for a pre-dawn journey to Penanjakan viewpoint. Witness the spectacular sunrise over Mount Bromo, casting its golden rays over the volcanic landscape.After sunrise, you have the option to descend into the caldera and hike to the Bromo crater rim (approx. 45-minute walk + 15-minute climb). Marvel at the dramatic landscape and capture stunning photos. (Note: This hike is optional, and you can choose to skip it if you prefer.)

After breakfast at your hotel near Bromo, begin your transfer to Malang (approx. 3-4 hours driving).

Upon arrival in Malang, embark on a city tour, exploring some of Malang’s highlights. This might include visits to historical buildings, local markets, or other points of interest (specific locations to be confirmed based on your preferences).After your Malang city tour, check into your hotel in Malang. The evening is at your leisure to explore Malang independently.

Day 3: Tumpak Sewu Waterfall & Transfer to Banyuwangi

After breakfast, begin your journey to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall (approx. 3-4 hours driving). This stunning waterfall cascades down a cliff face, creating a breathtaking spectacle. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters (if conditions permit) and capture some unforgettable photos.

After your visit to Tumpak Sewu, begin your transfer to Banyuwangi (approx. 4-5 hours driving). Check into your hotel in Banyuwangi.

Day 4: Ijen Volcano Hike & Transfer to Bali

Early Morning (approx. 1:00 AM) Your private jeep will collect you from your hotel for the journey to Ijen Crater base camp (approx. 1-hour drive). You’ll be provided with a breakfast box to enjoy before starting your hike.

Embark on a moderate hike (approx. 3 km, 1.5-2 hours) to the summit of Mount Ijen. Witness the breathtaking sight of the turquoise-colored crater lake, surrounded by sulfur mines. Observe the local sulfur miners, who display incredible strength and skill as they collect and carry the sulfur.

After enjoying the incredible views, descend and return to the base camp. Your jeep will take you back to Banyuwangi for a quick lunch. Afterward, begin your transfer to the Ketapang ferry terminal for your ferry crossing to Gilimanuk, Bali (approx. 45 minutes). Upon arrival in Gilimanuk, your driver will transfer you to your chosen location in Bali (specific drop-off location to be confirmed). Your East Java adventure concludes here
