Day 1 Bali to Bromo
- Start early in the morning from Bali and drive to Gilimanuk Port, which is approximately a 3-hour drive from Denpasar.
- Take a ferry from Gilimanuk Port to Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi, Java Island. The ferry ride takes around 1 hour.
- Once you arrive in Banyuwangi drive to Probolinggo, the nearest town Mount Bromo. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours.
- Check into your hotel in Probolinggo and rest for the night.
A Day 2 Bromo to Ijen
- Wake up early in the morning (around 3 am) and drive to the Mount Bromo viewpoint at Penanjakan. It takes about 1 hour to reach the viewpoint.
- From this viewpoint, enjoy the breathtaking sunrise over Mount Bromo and its surrounding landscapes.
- After sunrise, drive down to the Sea of Sand and park your car. From there, you can hike or rent a jeep to reach the base of Mount Bromo.
- Take a short hike to the crater of Mount Bromo and explore its unique landscapes.
- Return to your hotel for breakfast and check out.
- Drive from Bromo to Ijen, which is approximately a 6-7 hour journey.
- Check into your hotel in the Ijen area and rest for the night.
A Day 3 Ijen to Bali
- Wake up early in the morning (around 1 am) and drive to the base of Mount Ijen. The drive takes about 1 hour.
- Begin hiking Ijen Crater. can be challenging, so make sure to wear appropriate clothing, and bring a flashlight.
- Witness the mesmerizing blue flames at the crater, which can only be seen in the dark.
- After sunrise, explore the beautiful turquoise sulfur lake and the surrounding scenery.
- Descend back to the base and drive back to Bali.
- Take the ferry from Ketapang Port to Gilimanuk Port in Bali.
- Continue driving from Gilimanuk Port to your desired destination in Bali, which takes approximately 3 hours.
